Hey Ya’ll!!

 

My name is Heather Holliday.  My passion for this industry started in 1999 when I graduated from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, MN with a license in massage therapy. Once I realized how I could help people look and feel better, I was hooked. I went back to school and earned my Stylist license at the Nova Academy of Cosmetology and I’m so glad I did.

 

I loved being behind the chair helping bring creativity and imagination to life. Loved helping people look as good on the outside as they feel inside. But when Nova Academy contacted me and offered me a teaching position I couldn’t turn it down. 

 

I was a lead instructor at Nova for thirteen years. I covered everything. Hair care. Skin care. Manicures and pedicures. Even front desk procedures and salon marketing. Throughout my teaching career I always missed the feeling of a salon. Missed seeing regular customers. And missed meeting new ones. 

 

And then in 2020, my parents moved back to Mississippi to retire. In early 2022, I realized that Mississippi was my home too--it was exactly where I wanted to be.  

 

By the fall of 2022 my house was sold and the truck was loaded. I was ready to start a new life with my son in Oxford, Mississippi. And I’ve never been happier. I’m blessed to do what I love and live in a town as wonderful as this one. 

 

My goals as a stylist are simple. I want you to feel appreciated and cared for, and I want you to leave my chair with the exact look you imagined. To make sure this happens, I promise that our consultation is crystal clear so that we both understand what you want for your style and/or hair care. 

 

 Y’all are the reason my passion exists and I want you to feel as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside and I know that we can make that happen.
